WHAT I WORE | Maternity Style – 35 Weeks

Back in black! I told you this was a good color for maternity style. And it’s just classic, right?. Really can’t go too wrong with black and white. I added a bright little touch with a vintage enamel brooch in a lovely shade of blue (that I would never wear aside from jewelry), and put on a dark shade of red lipstick. These little touches along with some modestly stacked heels really help a growing glowing girl feel pretty!

P.S. This dress has been a favorite of mine throughout my pregnancy! I love the ’60s style and the stretchy fabric! See it worn a bit differently here. It’s sold out, but ASOS has some other great maternity options here.

My Photoshop Actions

Sometimes I receive questions from readers about how I add that “vintage look” to the photos on my blog. Through the years I’ve experimented with different Photoshop actions, which compile a series of edits to achieve a specific style for an image. But I found that developing my own set of actions was the only way I would get a subtle look that perfectly suits my style. I wanted to let you know, if you’re interested in achieving the same look for your photos, I’m selling the action set that I made for $30, with the PayPal check out at the pink button below. If you guys have any questions about the actions, I’ll be answering them in the comments section below. Check out what you get in the set (plus a couple of surprise bonuses for bloggers) below!

HOUSE PLANNING : Kitchen Dreaming

You guys. We’ve barely finished the nursery (which I will be sharing soon!), and I’m already setting my sights on the outdated and untouched kitchen of our 1959 ranch. It’s important to me, when redesigning a space, to stay true to the architecture around it. We have a brick wall, terrazzo floors, a built-in oven, and original flat-front wooden cabinets (check out photos here). So, I’ve been dreaming of some fresh, vintage-inspired ways to change up the space while staying true to its original character. Not that we’ll be making purchases any time soon, but I’ve been dreaming up some big plans, and thought I’d share with you! Check the links below for product details.
