bare knees and 60s knits

60s-knits

I can’t stop thinking about freeing these knees and lounging about in knits.  I’ve recently realized that I’m somewhat of a slave to woven dresses and shirts. They’re awfully forgiving, I’ve found. But lately I’ve been itching for some freedom. Perhaps it’s because of my lazy lounging ways (the blizzard made me do it!) as of late.

Judging by the massive piles of snow outside the door, however… I think I’ve been relegated to the comfort of knits and covered legs. Anybody know of any good sources for sweater tights? I’m getting bored with the same ol’ same ol’.  And it’s still just January. (!!!)

Vintage Typewriters

Vintage-typewriter-lady

Raise your hand if you like vintage typewriters. Now keep your hand raised if you actually use vintage typewriters…. That's what I thought. Just a few of us. It's okay, they're pretty to look at. Some people use them for decor these days. I use them for scrapbooking. And if you're super artistic, like little Cathie here, you can even find a typewriter in your favorite hue to match your favorite sweater ensemble!

Typewriter

I rounded up a few fun typewriters on Etsy for your shopping pleasure. Or for your viewing pleasure. Whichever your budget allows.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Look merry, be merry

I'll be spending Christmas Eve and Christmas day with our extended family celebrating Jesus' birthday. We'll be eating lots of food, singing Christmas carols, snuggling up with full bellies, and most likely watching cliche Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful Life.

What are you doing for Christmas this year?
