WHAT I WORE | Maternity Style – 34 Weeks

It’s been interesting to see a shift in my personal style during this pregnancy. What I wear is less about how I want to craft my sartorial vision, and more about what fits, feels comfortable, and makes me feel pretty. Anything knit, stretchy, black, and simple seems to fit the bill. Flip flops? Yes, those too! At least I gained some satisfaction when my friends gasped in wonder when they first saw me wearing them. “You’re wearing flip flops! Please tell me your feet are swollen, because I just can’t….” Yeah, they know a day when I wear flip flops is a fashion emergency. I’m definitely looking forward to wearing pretty shoes again! Come on, baby!

WHAT I WORE | Maternity Style – 33 Weeks

Whenever anyone asks me if I’ve been craving anything unusual, I typically laugh and try to consider how my pregnancy cravings have been any different than my pre-pregnancy cravings. Basically, I want to eat sugar all of the time. And I have been trying so hard to take it easy on the carbs, but this morning I thought I would treat our house to some tasty doughnuts from a local bakery. Baby girl asked for the white frosted cake donut with sprinkles. How could I say no?

The shoes have come off. The ring is now on my necklace. Yep, this girl’s barefoot and pregnant! I’ve been more in touch with my bohemian spirit in my last trimester, caring less about my typical preppy fastidiousness, and more about comfort and just making it through the day. But as I’ve said before, I’m already planning my post-pregnancy transformation, including a new haircut, actually! I’ll share more later this week. In the meantime, I only have a few more weeks to go before we get to meet this little girl! :)
