Never-Kill-a-ClientIt's been a while since I've settled down with a good book. Now that our fireplace has made its debut for the season, I've been feeling the urge to read, read, and read some more! But the silly thing is, the prospect of picking up a book again after so long away from printed pages is pretty similar to reintroducing a starving person to food. Better start small and light. Wouldn't it be fun to giggle your way through a vintage dime store horror novel? I'm thinkin' YES! And the funky cover illustrations look mighty tantalizing.

I've rounded up a few of the books behind these pretty covers. Isn't the first title a kicker?!

In decorating my home, I desperately try to maintain the delicate balance between vintage granny, bohemian hippie, and Scandinavian modern. The key to the granny aspect? Lots of florals, lace, and needlework. For the Scandinavian, I stick with white walls, enjoy my Saarinen knock-off side table, and lust after other designer pieces I cannot afford. To add more of a bohemian vibe, I like to display kilim rugs on the floors, ombre dye my curtains, and have lots of pillows strewn about.

But when two of my favorite decor styles meet in the middle? Perfection! I think granny pillows from around the 1960s are to die for, and if you do too, well, you’re in luck! I’ve just rounded up my favorite ones from various Etsy sellers below:

Wall arrangements are the easiest way I become bored these days. Nail holes? I’m really not worried about them. They’re easily covered up by new art arrangements, and by the time I leave my apartment, I’ll slap a coat of drywall compound over them and sand away.

Right now I’m torn between finding some classic neutral colored art that will let my funky floral sofas and pillows shine, or even taping up lots of colorful, unframed postcards and magazine clippings. The wheels in my head are spinning!
