Hello Wisconsin!

I am just too freaking excited right now.
The Etsy shop is set up, empty as it is.
The blog is being designed.
And I just got home from an eXcellent thrifting adventure.
I have overstock 1970’s high waisted jeans.
Never been worn.
I have thee cutest chevron skirt.
Mint condition absolutely fabulous ascot blouses.
Fedoras. Oh yes, fedoras.
Leather, tweed, fur, and kashmiracle.
Yes, Kashmiracle.
I canNOT wait for Saturday.
And I can hardly contain my excitement.
A little bit just spilled out in the form of a sneak peak…

A friend of mine agreed to model the treasures on Saturday.
And, as if things couldn’t be more perfect right now,
the weather forecast is mostly cloudy.
Perfect for a photoshoot.
OH and Phil got a full time teaching job!
They are MAKING a position for him.
The school decided there were too many 4th grade students.
So they’re making another class.
And they ASKED Phil to teach it.
He didn’t even interview!
We had never heard of this school before…
(one of many elementary schools in the city school district)
but Sunday night, my mom was at a bonfire with her friends,
and one of the ladies brought her friend from church.
Who teaches FOUTH GRADE at this elementary school!
Who was PRAYING that God would send someone to the school
to help out with the many students.
And lo and behold, Phil came to the rescue. ;)
Two prayers prayed many many times,
both answered in one shot.
Isn’t God great?
These are the times when I am reminded,
no matter how much we try and plan and try…
God has his own plan and his own timing for things.
Oh and I skipped school today.
Saw a classmate at the copy shop.
She told me that our teacher just made an extension
on a project that was going to be due on Wednesday.
Let the procrastination continue!
As well as the eager preparations for my shop!
The unveiling will hopefully be this coming Monday.
Yippee!!!!

same old things

I used to do it a few years back.
I had an obsession with wearing only vintage clothing.
And so it was a natural overflow
of my thrift store prowling.
I had a vintage clothing store on ebay.
Made some extra money.
It was fun.
And I’m going to do it again.

I’m pretty excited about the stuff I have
to put up in the shop.
Coats, scarves, blouses, vests, boots, purses…
I only pick out items that I would wear myself.
Sometimes I replace buttons and things,
but it’s all vintage.
I just have a few decisions to make first.
Ebay or Etsy?
Really it comes down to auction…
or set price in a shop.
Also I am afforded customization of the ebay shop,
and not so much with the Etsy.
What do you guys think?
Really what it comes down to is…
which would be more lucrative?
I’d be interested in knowing your opinions in the matter.
For now… I leave you with a mosaic.
I think it captures the vibe
that I hope for my vintage clothing shop.
