Fruits of my busyness
Six more days until my senior showcase! But still four more weeks until the end of the semester. This is quite a conundrum, you see, because there are three projects that I'm working on right now that I want to display. What does this mean? Why, this means I need (okay, maybe more like want) to finish drawings for at least two of these projects for my showcase display, I must finish said showcase display, and I must also completely my portfolio (containing all completed projects up to this point in my student and professional career). By Thursday at 5:30pm.
Sometimes I find myself sitting down at the table, working on my projects, suddenly unable to breath. And then, I realize- hey, I've been holding my breath! And then it happens again a moment later. I can't stop doing it. Hopefully after next week I will begin breathing again, and find myself leaps and bounds ahead of schedule in completing my projects for this, my senior year of interior design school.
This semester I have been designing a retail space (I decided to design a vintage boutique, of course!), and this is the beginning of my digital rendering of the dressing room/cash desk area. Everything you see what hand drawn, scanned, and then illustrated in Adobe Photoshop. I will show you more drawings as I complete them! I'm pretty excited about this project in particular. Sigh. Okay, now I'm going to go back back to work! Huzzah!

I want to see more!
AH! Look at us cute Seniors growing up! ;)
I decided to make the chair hot pink. Annnd the doors are blue and a warm brown, because they are both (along with the trim) reclaimed. I want to build this place.
although it’s work i’m sure it’s fun, just like my finals hectic but enjoyed making patterns and sewing for finals!

wow…these are amazing illustrations! Good luck with getting everything done in time.
I just started my ID degree at Iowa State. I read your blog regularly, and I love these renderings! One of my favorite things about design school is seeing other designers’ creative processes. Please share more!
Oh! Please breathe! It worries me when people don’t. Also? This project is gorgeous! Yay :)
Such fun! I love looking at other people’s workspaces and projects in progress.
What is your desktop wallpaper?
Dude! :) That’s so cool. Good luck finishing everything up! What an exciting time for you!
