In every Pothole there is hope.
It seems that most people I know have never seen the Steve Martin movie Mixed Nuts. But it has one of the most random quotes that I use because I think the scene is just hilarious. And driving down the road today, I couldn’t help but think of it! Each time my car banged into a
pothole, causing it to rattle in pain for the next mile or so, I just thought of Steve Martin saying this:
"Just remember that in every pothole there is hope. Well, you see, pothole is spelled P-O-T-H-O-L-E. So if you take the P, and add it to the
H, the O, and the E, and rearrange the letters… or contrariwise, you remove the O, T, and the L, you get "hope". So, just remember, in every pothole there is hope!"
I took some pictures of my project the night…
err, early morning, before I turned it in, but as I loaded them onto the computer today I noticed that they were rather crappy. But I posted them anyway.
Winter storms really aren’t that bad because….
1. No school
2. Excuses to be lazy and surf the web
3. Chance to scrap
4. It’s just so beautiful!
But blizzards bite because of many reasons too!
1. Mailman’s don’t close your mailbox, and the snow gets on my MetHome mag. and freezes the cover of it to the mailbox (grrrr)
2. It takes five times as long to get where you need to go
3. In March I am so ready for green grass and tulips. NOT blizards.
4. Power outages.
Well, I really didn’t mind the excuse to be online and surf the web- but I was su frustrated because SIStv’s site was having MAJOR problems. So sad.
To close my post today, I would like to share with all of you a site that I have recently discovered and have quickly fallen in love with. It’s called One Good Bublebee and they sell some really quirky and fun paper goods, art, housewares, and gift items. Below are a few items that I personally have found to be quite scrumptious!
This funky cassette tote bag:
