The new era of magazines.
Let’s face it. The world of print is changing. My most favorite magazine, and the only one I ever maintained a subscription to from the beginning, is out of print. (Domino Magazine) I was sad they couldn’t make it, but I’m also excited about new e-zines and indie mags available to satisfy my voracious appetitive for creative browsing.
You may have noticed Portals Zine off to the left there in the sponsor collumn. The magazine is the brainchild of Heather and Joleen who wanted to feature a great collection of mixed media and photography all in one magazine. Portals Zine is fully printed (let’s face it, it’s nice to have something tangible to curl up with and flip through!) and available for purchase in their Etsy shop. I’m very excited to be getting my own copy soon!
Check them out… and who knows, maybe you could be published in their pages?
On the avenue… fifth avenue…
So I bought some saks sacks today on ebay.
They’re dity and wrinkly and delicious!
Don’t worry… I plan on giving them a major cleaning.
Wershing them up, as granny would say.
This is what they apparently look like.
I plan on making some pillows
and using whatever canvas/burlap is left for a mini!
(album, that is)
Speaking of mini albums… I’ve been wanting this
and this
for a while now….
for putting together my next mini album.
But I’m holding back on the purchase
cause I just got an American Crafts
D ring album for all my 12×12 pages.
Yes, they’ve been homeless
ever since I started doing 12x12s again.
Speaking of homes…
(gosh this word trail is never ending!)
I’m looking for some cool wallpaper for the kitchen
in the new house.
Any ideas?
Links would be appreciated.
Sorry this post sucks so much.
I’m leaving for Kentucky
and just can’t think of anything to say.
There will be pictures when I get back.
