Pretty things

Lately I've been super inspired by the pretty photography on flickr.  I love when people take simple things and turn them into an image that makes me feel happy all over.  Here's the latest…

Pretty mattresses

Pretty mattresses?  Who knew?

Pretty braids

I've been loving braid headbands lately, but what about making them into a casual updo?  Totally on my to-do list.

Pretty dresses

Hanging up pretty dresses on your wall is sort of like instant artwork, eh?

Pretty lady with a typewriter

I think I want to have a portrait photoshoot with some of my favorite inanimate objects.  Like typewriters? (seriously, how sweet is this?!)

Pretty clunker

Old clunkers.  Definitely charming.  I would certainly drive one around town if they weren't so unreliable…

Pretty balloons

And lastly, balloons.  I know they've been done, and done, and done again.  But they're just so lovely and they remind me of the wedding I was in as a flower girl when I was a preschooler.  Everyone had bunches of balloons that they let go when the bride and groom exited the church.  It's a memory I'll cherish forever.

What are some of your current inspirations?

Peripherie Jewelry is a new sponsor at Here's Looking at Me, Kid.  I was so impressed when Tiffany introduced me to her shop that is full of the dreamiest jewelry.

Here's what Tiffany has to say about her shop:
"My goal is to adorn women with beautiful jewels to bring out their best.  I'm a stickler for details, as you can see in my work. From the handmade clasps, to the unique features that I try to bring to all of my work so that it sets you apart, you are purchasing a very special piece of jewelry.  I've been designing jewelry for over 10 years, and this past year I was bitten by the vintage bug.  As a result of designing vintage inspired jewelry, and my desire to share my favorite work with everyone, I decided to launch my line to the public."

Today, Tiffany is offering one of you darling readers this ring pictured at the top of this post. Isn't it wonderful? Just leave a comment below and I will randomly select a winner next Wednesday. Good luck!
