New Sponsors

I'm finally back from my mini blogging vacation! My final exam went very well, and I'm happy to be back. Today I would like to share with you some of my fun new sponsors.

Nellie Loves Vintage is a blog by Amy featuring lovely eye candy (we're talking fashion, food, and home), diys, and shopping experiences. I love a little vicarious vintage shopping, yeah?

Ever think it would be fun to go to school and study fashion? Aneta's ecourse is the next best thing. She is an accessory design teacher at Parsons and FIT in NYC, a blogger, and also a fashion textbook writer.

The eClass is great for anybody who is interested in learning about the accessory industry and how the design process works or designers who want to start their own accessory line. Students will learn how to:

– research for inspiration
– choose a concept
– research visual materials
– create mood-boards
– draw flat-sketches
– understand construction
– design an accessory collection

The next class starts APRIL 5 and readers of Here's Looking at Me, Kid can receive $50 OFF if you email Aneta and let her know that you learned about it here.

Another class I thought you would find interesting is the Bloom Photo ecourse. The course is for those of you looking to find your creativity, find your style, and to challenge yourself on a daily basis to make your images better. Rachel teaches the classes and also shares her own photography and inspiration at her blog.

Margot and the Nuclear So & So’s

Rumors spread throughout Akron when Margot and the Nuclear So & So’s cancelled their tour and therefore a scheduled stop here at Musica a week before their performance. I was so crushed, especially when I heard that they had disbanded. But! They’re out and about again and tonight I will be seeing them here in Akron with my friend Sylvia serving us drinks. It’s bound to be a good night.

In other news…

Bangsfree

So… I'm thinking about growing out my bangs. I can always change my mind, right? And I probably will. (P.S. don't judge the bangs-free look off of my makeup-free face. I think it might look better when I give it a real go. Yes?)
