I've received so many requests lately as to the Photoshop actions I use on my photos.  I've developed my own unique set of actions that I use on most of my photos, and now I'm making them available to you!

This action is used for photos with an average range of colors. When using this action, your photos will become warmer and softer, with a bit of a vintage vibe. It works the best on lighter photos. If your photos are dark, use one of my two brightening actions before running this one on your photo.

If you have a lot of dark colors in your photo, this action for darker colors will work better than the one above.  Again, if your photo is all together too dark to begin with, use one of my lightening actions before running this one.

When your photos are too dark, run this "lightest and brightest" action and it will brighten them into a much more cheerful image.  If your photo is dark, but not as dark as the original above, use the "lighter and brighter" action below.  It is a less intense version of the one above.

Last week, Becky asked me if I would like to come to the Dr. Sketchy event going on at the Akron Art Museum to take some photographs. The event was really inspiring! The place was filled with interesting strangers, there was a great band performing, and the Dr. Sketchy event was well attended.

As much as I talk about moving to Chicago, I really do love Akron and could be very happy staying here. In the past 10 years, the city has changed for the better. There’s an acclectic mix of people, a love of the arts, a great music scene, fun nightlife, and beautiful homes. Not to mention killer thrift stores.

Sometimes I can be terribly shy when I’m the only person I know in a room full of strangers, but I would love to go to the next Dr. Sketchy event, and this time I’ll bring my sketch pad.
