My drafting table is the table of all tables for me.  I use it for drafting (duh), computering, scrapbooking, gift wrapping- pretty much every besides eating- well, sometimes that too.  I have no other space for these projects, because I live in a two bedroom apartment with my school-teacher hubby, and he needs his space too.  The problem with this one tables fits all solution is that the top is CONSTANTLY cluttered, and most days everything ends up in a big pile on the floor.

My brother is closing on his first home next month, and my husband and I are going to move in with him, helping both of us financially.  But having one more roomate is NOT going to make my space issue any better- especially since my brother is a graphic designer and brings all of his equipment into the picture.

My brother asked me to help him redesign his house, and I think I have come up with a good solution for the office!  I found it on Living Etc’s website (loooove them!) and here it is!  I can store my stuff INSIDE the table, my laptop can share table space with hubby’s laptop, and we can keep the drafting table in the basement (I hardly use it anyway).  And look at all that cabinet storage!  yummmm…
