Wow it seems like FOR EV ERRRRR since I’ve clicked that “begin a new post” button! What have I been up to???

Well, got my husband all graduated.

Celebrated mother’s day with my mother.

And did LOTS of work at my brother’s house.

We removed some walls, put up a support beam, and left a hole where we have tubes to bring up chords to the 37″ flat screen t.v. that we’re going to mount on the fireplace wall.

Whew! I’m pretty exhausted! But the great thing is, we’ve done most of the work while my brother Matt was away on vacation this week! He’s gonna be shocked when he gets home tomorrow.

Oh and I’ve decided that two of these chairs would look freaking awesome in the living room along with my sofa:

Only problem is coming up with the money! haha Isn’t that always the case?

Well, coming up with money and coming up with time- sometimes are one and the same problem. I haven’t done anything really creative lately- though I’ve been being really productive! I like spending time doing something where I’ve got something to show for it when it’s all said and done. And pretty soon the living room will be done and we can work on the office- and I’ve got BIG PLANS for the office!

Big plans, big plans…. did you know I’ve been working on a book as well? Probably not since I’ve never mentioned it. I started it while I was taking a creative writing class in my last major. I majorly wanted to be a writer! And I still do! But it just doesn’t seem like I have enough time to do all the things I want to do.

Such as reading everybody’s blogs that I’ve been missing. I actually dreamed last night that I was checking up on the blogs for the last week and somebody posted 22 times! haha I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened. Well I’m out to leave some lovin!

This week needed to be over.
Thank you Jesus.
Thank you for no more school work.
For no more drama with grade haters.
For no more driving to school in the mornings.

And soon for no more neighbors blaring their t.v.
above us at seven o freaking clock in the morning.

Since I knew we were moving soon,
I’ve not been keeping the best house lately.
But I finally couldn’t take it any more
and decided to clean up and organize the office.
And so I spray painted all my organizational crap
that wasn’t silver or brown.
Now it’s all clean and bright. (like edelweiss)

But I don’t want to bore you.

Also, I ordered some paper from Hambly
for my cards for the Juno ATC swap.
They came in the mail.
I’m pretty pumped about this one!

I also picked up some comp journals
cause I decided I need to have a separate place
to do document day to day stuff and my thoughts.
A place that doesn’t have to be a scrapbook.
It’s not exactly going to be an art journal….
But maybe like a journal on steroids.

Also, did a CD swap with some girlies from school.
I love friends who share my music taste!
I have a friend who is a fitness model
And she never wants to go out for ice cream
or fun stuff like that.
It’s hard.
Kinda like listening to rap music with my friends.
haha kidding.  sort of.
Actually I do listening to hip hop sometimes.
sometimes.
One Saturday afternoon I was blaring JayZ
When my neighbor knocked on my door
and said she was trying to sleep.
I didn’t really feel bad
since it was 1:00 in the afternoon
and she blares her t.v. at 7 a.m.
But she is way more gangsta than myself,
so I sheepishly turned down my music.
Since then I mostly blare classical music
during my Saturday afternoon drafting sessions.

But I gotta blare the tunes when I’m cleaning.
Yesterday I cleaned out a huge stack of old paper.
Gave it to the girl I nanny- she loved it!

Gotta love the purge.
Oh yeah and winning a jack.
The perfect nightcap to the week.

I did this LO for the OLW challenge. I usually don’t do challenges unless I really feel some major inspiration. Otherwise I feel like I’m forcing something that just isn’t right. But I thought about the word grow, and really did feel inspired to journal about the growth I’ve experienced after my gramma’s death last summer.

The design of the second layout was inspired by dare 91.
The one also is pretty important to me.
My family has always worked very hard
for everything we have,
and I’ve learned so much about life
(working hard and having a sense of humor)
from the examples of my father and grandparents.
And so this page is all about us.
Oh and in case you didn’t figure it out,
The title is a twist on the airline slogan.

I got some stencils a couple weeks ago and overused them a lot last night. I used cardstock and NO patterned paper (a huge deal for me) and everything I used was clipped from magazines or printed/typed out.  (transparency and typewriting)
