Now, hear me out on this one. Turbans used to be quite a high fashion item in the mid twentieth century. And I totally adore the way this Streetheart looks wearing hers. I think it could be quite a nice option for someone like me who is thinking about growing out her bangs. It would have to be quite a special outfit for one to pull off such a look. But. I think it’s quite possible and I’m pondering attempting this look sometime this Summer. (P.S., doesn’t she look just like Rachel McAdams? Gracious!)

This is Mel. Doesn’t she look super cute? Well, I may be a little biased because her dress is from Half Caf Vintage. I was tickled pink when she sent me the link to her blog where I found these photos of her wearing a dress from my shop. Oh, and if you visit her blog, be sure to look around. Can we please discuss this? I just came across these images from Orla Kiely‘s Autumn/Winter 2010 collection (via Wish Wish Wish) and I almost died. I know most of us have been pounded by blizzards and below freezing temperatures… and those of us who have suffered through the insanity are quite ready for Spring. However… I still hold to Autumn as my favorite time of year, and if I could wear one of each of these, I don’t think I would need anything else in my wardrobe.

I don’t think any other designer at the moment completely captures the essence of the 1960s and transforms it into wonderful pieces suited perfectly for the modern woman. These pieces could have been made just for me. I adore the collars, the colo(u)rs (my closet seems to be filled with navies, orangey reds, and mustards at the moment), the buns, and the overall feminine feel of each outfit. Oh, and did I mention that needlepoint handbag? I can’t stop looking at it. (And this gushing is coming from a very non-handbag sort of girl.) Which piece is your favorite?
