Ashley Toussant is the very cute girl I met last year through the most curious circumstances. I think it was a divine moment, because shortly thereafter I was introduced to her beautiful music and a lovely friendship grew, complete with Chicago adventures and Canton, Ohio lovin’.

I was terribly excited when Ashley asked me if I would be interested in shooting some promotional shots for her in-the-works album, Sweetheart. Her music is the sweetest thing, and I am always delighted at a chance to hear her perform. So, of course I was ecstatic about photographing her adorable self and becoming a part of this new venture of hers!

I’ve had a chance to hear some of the tunes from the new album, and have fallen in love with the soft folksy sounds she and her band are creating. After just a glance at her quirky wardrobe, fun illustrations, and chevron blanket, I was quite certain Andrea and I would be kindred spirits! I'm pleased to share with you a brief glimpse into her corner of the world, where she creates and sells wonderful little illustrations and shares with us her pretty fashion ensembles.

Whimsical animal illustrations are Andrea's signature creations. You can buy her original illustrations or her prints and stationery. Check out The Paper Sparrow jewelry and accessories line, including necklace pendants, brooches, earrings, and buttons. Andrea also sells fabric renditions or her illustrations that have been crafted into fabric pouches and plush animals. There truly are a lot of fun things to find in the Paper Sparrow shop.

In addition to the things you can find in Andrea's shop, she keeps creative in the wardrobe department. Capturing outfit ideas in a sketch book is an idea I totally adore! Dressing creatively is fun, but sometimes it's exhausting.  (Can I get a what, what?) You just want to wake up in the morning and get dressed without thinking about it. Aren't these pages so much fun?

After much deliberation, and some encouragement on twitter, I'm pleased to introduce to you a new section of Fine & Dandy Vintage called The Boutique. These items are a bit pricier than most of what you will find in the shop (due to sourcing methods), but I think they are all true gems! This first update of The Boutique is mostly sized medium, but if this round goes well, I have had my eye on other frocks in smalls and larges that I simply adore and will be purchasing for The Boutique as well.
