An eternity

An eternity of cutting and sanding and drilling and sanding and cleaning and staining

Box of progress

The paper will be in my hands at the beginning of this week!  I’m waiting for more buttons to arrive at my door… otherwise I would have no problem announcing that the kits will be for sale a week from today on Monday, August 3rd.  But I think I can only semi-announce the date of sale.  It really might end up being more like Wednesday.  Stay tuned here for more information as to the price of the kits (I’m waiting to get a shipping cost estimate), definite date and time of release, and for a link to the shop I’m putting together!
Are you excited?  Gee, I hope so! I am!

Confession:  I think I spent 20 minutes trying to get a good picture of this.

Is there a secret to taking good photos of your layouts?  I can’t seem to find a spot with even lighting in my house, and the great outdoors keeps washing out the colors (even on cloudy days).  I’m not a big fan of the scanner, and that doesn’t work too well with 12x12s anyway.  What’s your secret?  Or are you still on the quest for that perfect technique, like I am?

It’s a good thing

These pictures were from our picnic during our weekend long anniversary celebration.  I think they capture Phil’s personality to the T!  I usually try to include a part of the story or a part of the person when I’m scrapping.  But truly, are words necessary with these pictures?  :)
So right now, I assure you, I am probably having the time of my life with my wacky friends in TN!  (well right now, I’m probably sleeping.  But a few hours ago I was probably jumping on the hotel beds!)  Just trying to soak up all the joy out of every moment while I can.
