A Last Minute Christmas Craft

Only a couple of days left until Christmas! But there’s still time to put together a few things to make your table more festive. If your family has casual Christmas Eve gatherings, like mine, this would be a perfect project for your buffet table.

I found these buckets for a few dollars at Pat Catans, a craft store much like Hobby Lobby. I actually bought them a couple of years ago for a bridal shower, but have been keeping them in the basement since then. I thought I would resurrect them with some holiday style using Hambly Christmas rub-ons.

This is a project that you could really do any time of the year. Hambly has a variety of rub ons perfect that are perfect for baby showers, bridal showers, New Year’s parties, and any kind of party, really. I even have a similar project in mind for Valentine’s Day!

Christmas Card

So… I've been making cards. Woah. Not exactly my specialty, but here they are! It's always good to have some cards on hand during the holidays, and I hate spending money on them when I have so many supplies at home.

The top card was made using Hambly Screen Prints rub ons (the doilies are overlays because they were prototypes before the first major run). The bottom card was made with Jenni Bowlin paper, a Jenni Bowlin ticket, and the coredenations cardstock. Add a little stitching, and voila! Special holiday cards for loved ones.

Christmas decorating

Holiday decor2

Last year I was quite the crafty holiday girl. I made these candle holders with my dad using birch logs, a circular drill bit, and votive holders. I decorated shaker boxes with Hambly rub ons. I made Christmas stockings out of thrifted sweaters, and a tree to hang them on using woodgrain contact paper and 3M hooks. I was also inspired by the movie Elf to turn my chandelier into a winter wonderland.

This year, all I have made is a wreath from a thrifted T-shirt. I just can’t seem to find the motivation or ideas. What are you making this year? I seriously need a project. So, any ideas would be lovely!
