WHAT WE WORE | Sunshine & Daisies

Sometimes a happy pregnancy is all about a quality mattress, oodles of carbs, plenty of antacids, and, of course, a healthy baby. But in the morning, what really makes this pregnant lady happy is just a comfortable dress to make getting dressed a breeze. When I found out I was pregnant last Fall, I found this vintage ’90s maternity dress at the online resale shop Thred Up, and bought it immediately. When it arrived in the mail, I was disappointed with how boxy the dress was on top and how baggy it felt in the shoulders. I couldn’t imagine the day when I would have to pin closed the button holes and exercise extreme caution when reaching forward, lest I risk a fat-man-in-a-little-coat situation. But guess what? That day is here! I’m 26 weeks pregnant and this dress is quite tailored on top these days.
Yes, the body is changing (aka growing) at lightning speed, and I’ve been a bit embarrassed by my vain feelings that make me sad about my extra face chub. But I can still wear my favorite boots, so all is good Mandi’s world of comfortable maternity fashion!

You and Lucy are so adorable!
so happy to see you posting! You look gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
You look BEAUTIFUL, Mandi – seriously, truly gorgeous. I always think one of the best parts of pregnancy is being able to let go of some of that self consciousness and hyper awareness-of-myself that I struggle with on a daily basis, and just marvel at how amazing my body really is! It’s crazy and scary and wonderful being a woman. :) (And when did Lucy get so big?! She’s going to have so much fun being a big sister!) Xx
SO CUTE SO CUTE SO CUTE <3
There’s no extra face chub!! You’re simply glowing!
Oh goodness, Mandi! You look so beautiful. I do, however, realize these affirmations from us gals might not necessarily change how you feel in your own body. I hope you find encouragement either way, especially as the days go by and baby (and you) keeps growing!
Hooray, you’re back! Missed you.
Congratulations on babe #2. You have been one busy lady!
