WHAT I WORE | A Little Bit of Ice Cream

There are certain things you want your children to learn, like being considerate to other people, not talking with your mouth full, and everything there is to know about The Beatles. But then there are other things that you didn’t necessarily want them to learn, but they discover anyway, just by watching the example you set for them. Like how it’s funny when people burp (whoops- Lucy laughs every time I burp in front of her!), and mint chocolate chip ice cream is the purpose for living. Or at least, it’s one of the greatest joys in life. I’m not sure which mint chocolatey lesson she’s learned, but I do know that by the way she fussed when I took the cone away, that she is certainly a girl after her mama’s heart!

So true about how children learn. The other day my oldest son said, “Whatever!” I was thinking the mid 90s were back suddenly and asked him where he learned that from. Go figure, right?
