WHAT LUCY WORE: Pastel Folk Prints

lucy baby making nice in the midwest

My, don’t babies grow fast! (Not to mention, this one’s hair.) Each month I rummage through her drawers and closet to make sure I don’t miss the opportunity to dress Lucy in the things I had bought for her almost a year ago. I just packed away her 0-3 month clothes (!!!), and at 5 months old, she’s finally starting to fit into 3-6 month clothes. It’s such a treat rediscovering the fun things I had found at the thrift store shortly after we learned I was pregnant with a baby girl. During my pregnancy, I had often imagined what my baby would look like, and tried to picture her wearing the clothes I found. Now that she’s finally here, and growing into new stages all the time, I couldn’t be more excited! Little girls sure are fun to dress, and I’m enjoying every minute of it!

My chunky man isn’t nearly as well dressed, but I have a hard time getting but so excited with the way he’s growing. the boy is huge- 19 lbs. at 11 weeks. I swear my milk is a straight up milkshake.

People always tell me they want to wait to find out if it’s a boy or a girl but hearing how much you enjoyed picking out little clothes for this adorable lil girl I can see why it would be beneficial to find out!!

  7. Please do not cut that sweet hair. It is so precious.

  8. Oh wow. That is so great that you were able to use her 0-3 month clothing for that long!! My second son was like that, though the first was 10 pounds at birth so he was only in them for maybe a month. How tiny Lucy is! I love her facial expressions!! Are you going to give her a haircut as Lucy “thought” in that photo? It is so lovely (her hair). Has any of it fallen out at all?

I was thinking about cutting her bangs… but I won’t be doing anything any time soon! They keep getting in her eyes, though. But I don’t know if bangs will work for her, ’cause she has a funny cowlick. We’ll see! In the meantime, I just am constantly brushing her hair from her eyes. :)

Ohhhhhhh she is SO cute, beautiful, adorable, thank you for keep us up on “what did Lucy wear!!!” I gotta say this always just makes my day!!!!!!!!!! Her hair looks beautiful. I seen your response above regarding haircut/bangs. My little girl (almost 19 now) anyways she had a ton of hair also. I remember it getting into the eyes also. I used LOTS of cute little barrettes and such because I decided to not cut bangs. They take forever to grow out, as a hairdresser this IS a great time to not cut the bangs, either way she is major cuteness. But just my thoughts:)
