WHAT I WORE: M Is for Mandi

1970s inspired outfit - Mandi of Making nice in the Midwest

Funny things happen when people find out that you sell vintage. They make jokes about donating to your shop some underwear they’ve had for twenty years. (This happened.) They crack wise about how awful the trends you enjoy were the first time around. (I let that stuff roll right off.) And they give you bags full of great old clothes they were just going to donate. (This is the best. It happened once.) Fortunately, or unfortunately, it seems that everyone in Canton knows I love vintage, and recently a lady gave me a black trash bag full of 1970s goodies and told me to do with them what I will. Well, I did! I greedily kept most of them for myself, and while they are truly some great gems from that bag, my favorite item was this necktie scarf. I mean, it’s sporting my monogram! Meant to be, that’s what I say!

    Oh my gosh, I have, well HAD, a suit in that same pattern as your jacket! I think I may have donated the jacket though but I kept the pants. Love your outfit!
