WHAT LUCY WORE: My Funny Valentine

I had this nagging fear the entire time I was pregnant. I didn’t worry too much about our baby’s healthy, about the pain of labor, or about transitioning into a life of being a diaper-changer. I worried that maybe I wouldn’t like being a mom as much as I had hoped. I wondered if I’d be able to happily give up my selfish lifestyle and enjoy taking care of a kiddo, 24-7.
Well, folks- good news! I love being a mom! I don’t know what I was so worried about. (Maybe it was the thought of postpartum depression, which thankfully never happened to me.) Lucy brings so much joy to my life. I feel like my biggest goal every day is just to make her giggle. Sometimes, admittedly, it’s just to get her to stop screaming or crying. But good gracious, I love carrying her around all day. I love changing her diapers (no, really!). And you guys… I love getting her dressed for the day. It’s the little things, I suppose. But they all add up to one big gigantic feeling of LOVE. She’s my funny Valentine, for sure! (P.S. Speaking of funny, I joined Vine!)

Oh goodness, soooo adorable!
What a cutie! So much hair. Really nice outfit on her too, especially those red shoes.
She has such a smart, wise face. There’s something about her that makes her seems so much older. And I totally know what you mean about being afraid of not really liking motherhood. It was actually a way easier transition than I could have imagined.
She is so adorably beautiful!! Those little red shoes are the cutest & the bow!! So adorable!
So cute! Geez, that babe has more hair than I do!
She’s such a doll! You combined two of my faves, babies & red shoes!
It’s encouraging to read that you enjoy being a mom! No kids for us yet, but I have the same doubts/worries you did.
Also, yay! Vine! Super fun app!
Such tiny, adorable red shoes!
Motherhood is doing a great job on you and Lucy, definitely! She’s so cute. You keep up that great work, Mom!
I had to do a double take…at first I thought it said “Candy Stripper” PHEW!!! haha. She’s looking perfect, per usual!!
Ha! Nooo way would I put that on my baby ’till she’s at least 13. Btw, did you catch that the shirt was yours?
Oh my, you might have the cutest baby that I’ve ever seen. Also I’m one of the bloggers going to the Cleveland brunch and figured I’d come and say hi before! I’m glad I did because your blog is so pretty! About to dig through your archives now. Hope you and your adorable family is having a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
Oh Lucy Jo you have a perfect pout!
