WHAT I WORE | Playing with Pattern
Pattern! One of my resolutions for 2012 is to enjoy more if it. Patterned separates, patterned dresses, and maybe even patterned shoes and hats! Oh, and I have no plans to stop this madness at my wardrobe. My wallpaper fund is indeed growing, which means I have now become obsessed with planning which patterns to select for each application. Photoshop to the rescue! What do you guys think of this one? It might be making an appearance in our future living room! It’s pretty neutral in color and has just enough pattern interest without being overwhelming. It sort of reminds me of this cropped sweater I’m wearing. From far away you might think it’s just a boring sweater. But up close? A pretty pattern emerges. Lovely.

I am so excited to see how you decorate your new home. I could definitely use some fresh inspiration for my own midcentury ranch. I think the wallpaper pattern is beautiful; the neutral palette will allow for more play with color within the room.
I really, REALLY like that wallpaper. It’s interesting, and fairly subtle at the same time.

Me too, I have a hard time with patterns and prints. I always seem to buy the same old plain 1 color top… And I always get compliments whenever I wear something that has a print… Ahhh, good old boring me!
