Wild Boys and Their House Show
Last weekend, across the neighborhood, our friends, Wild Boy of Aveyron, had a private show where all of the cool kids (including some of my friends! ha!) spent the evening trying to contain the fabulous sounds to the limits of the house walls.
The Wild Boy’s music is completely instrumental, which lends itself nicely to an intense, yet oddly chill community gathering. There was a lot of dancing, and wholesome oatmeal cookies were innocently passed around the gang , artfully dodging flailing arms or tossed dreadlocks.
I really, truly love these guys and it was really nice to spend a somewhat peaceful night at home, so to speak. Even though it wasn’t my own apartment, this place is like a second home for me. Where I go for morning coffee and yoga, afternoon cooking experiments, movie nights, or rooftop philosophical discussions. House shows are a great way to mix it up.

Looks amazing, I definitely need to organise some house shows with my local bands.
House shows are the best!!! Looks like you had lots of fun!
That was a great show! :) hehe awesome natural dreadlocks.
Hahaha, you just wanted to find a way to squeeze in the term “artful dodger” into your post after our Oliver show-tune escapades! Oh and that picture of me is straight craaaaaaazy.
Wonderful! I love houseshow. They are my favorite to play and see.
Your friends look wonderfully grotty. Since moving to germany, I have not encountered as many dirty bearded friends, as my old ones in the good ole USA.
these photos make me miss it.
