Girl Wears the Blues
Jimi Hendrix and The Black Keys have been in the mix of blues rock that I’ve been listening to lately. Combining their mellow vibes with my recent Julie Andrews spree has influenced my simple wardrobe choices that might as well be a Northeast Ohio rendition of The Sound of Music.
A simple denim dress might be something I would wear around the house while working on various client projects, but outside the house, I was headed to photograph an Ohio congressman at a private tour of a local homeless shelter, and wanted to look a bit nicer, without looking overdressed. Solution? I tied a neck scarf into a bow, buttoned up the dress, and pinned the bow at the top. Add a simply corduroy jacket, and the look is complete!

Who was the congressman….? I’m curious.
The congressman is Jim Renacci. He was visiting The Refuge of Hope. Not sure why he was, but anyway, a friend of mine does work for The Refuge and he asked me if I’d come by to take the photos for their website.
I think I’ve *never* seen denim anything look so lovely. :)
Love it :) Awesome bag!
