What Phil Wore: Preppy & Pegged
One of the biggest challenges I find at the thrift store is scoring manly duds for the husband. I attribute this problem to the age ol’ behavior men have of wearing out their clothes. I figure that’s why the men’s department is so teeny compared to the women’s.
Sometimes I have people ask me if I dress Phil or if he dresses himself. The answer is, a little bit of both. He takes pride in selecting outfits on his own, matching ties and trousers, always grinning and asking me if he did a good job. As for the selection in his closet? Totally Salvation Amy, all the way.

This outfit is perfectly preppy, but not pretentious and I love it. Especially the shoes and jeans cuffed combo. Now I need to see what Amanda wore!

I’m newly married and quickly learning how this ‘wearing out’ phenomenon is so crazy! My husband now has only one rip-free pair of pants apart from his work slacks. They aren’t even at the knee; his always tear just above and I can’t understand why. But we love thrift stores, so I suppose that’s the only way to keep a man fully dressed :):)

That’s cute that he lets you help dress him. My husband knows how to dress really well but the problem is the thrifting here is awful and he’s short so he’s have to get everything tailored. Such a pain. Phil’s outfit looks really great! Good job to you both on dressing him. My husband loves his outfit.
