Outfit to Scrapbook: Traditional Neutrals
Sometimes color can be a bit overwhelming and distracting in an outfit, or in a craft project. It can distract from a crucial element, like the tailored simplicity of this outfit and the girl’s lovely lipshade. I wanted to write about something that was important to me, and use photos of me and Phil. So, I thought this would be great inspiration for a simple page that doesn’t distract too much from the journaling.
For the page, I kept the two-toned color blocking of the outfit’s base and layered over it with tone-on-tone patterns, as is seen on her fun winter sweater. The result is something very simple, but meaningful.

I want to do one of these this weekend with you. Best idea ever? I know.
I love these posts, I saw one you did awhile back and I thought it was perfection. I’m not even a scrapbooker…but this makes me want to scrapbook. :)
I would just like to say that this may or may not be the most beautiful blog I have ever seen … and that applies to both this template AND the last one you had.
Anyway, just a Here’s Lookin’ at Me Kid stalker, finally checking in!
Xoxo,
Tolly
La-la-la-lovely! :) This may well be my favorite feature of yours. :)
Love this composition… It will inspire me!
i am loving your outfit to scrapbook posts! i do have a question: do you you sew the smaller pieces of paper together or do you sew directly on to the main piece?
Hi Andrea! I sew directly onto the main page. No adhesive necessary! :)
