Thrifty Kiddos

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Kyle and I had a semi-successful thrift store trip, making a tardy appearance after the 50%-Off-Family-Day crowd had already scoured the place.

The thrift store is a great place to pad your record collection, as most albums at only a dollar, or even buy 6 for five dollars. I’ve yet to find 6 albums I actually want in one trip, though.

I picked up this bath mat for next to our shower, and also a couple of records to add to my collection. I might be heading out to the thrift stores today to see what I can find!

I love your blog! I’ve been perusing all of your posts for the last few days. You’ve got a great sense of style.
I have a big record collection as well–mostly from thrift stores. Although there’s a great record store where I live that is really reasonable (and it has an amazing selection) that I like to go to also. Plus the owner knows everything about everything when it comes to music, so he always has suggestions.

I love your sense of style. Here it’s uber-expensive to buy records and they only have the awful stuff cheap!

Woo, I wish we had such huge thrift shops in here too! :D

  4. Um, that bath mat? ADORB!!! Now I kinda want to make myself one! :)

I am so with you – I adore thrifting. The vinyls here only cost us a quarter. Sure, they aren’t always the greatest ones but every once in a while you can find a great album in the stack!

Oh my goodness, I JUST arrived home from my family 50% off day!
I did fairly well, [60s floral print bed sheet, granny square throw, sweet sailor shorts] but nothing like that bathmat… adorable.
p.s. I just wrote about you on my blog, my husband and I love reading your monday movies!

  7. Love thrift store posts… I really like that bath mat.

I literally can’t think of a thrift store I’ve seen with a larger or cheaper selection than the Salvation Army on Whipple in Canton (especially on a Wednesday). It’s safe to say that half of my wardrobe was picked up at that very location.

I love your bath mat and your shower curtain. It’s great when the clothes are organized by color

  12. Oh, lovely finds all piled in your cart, there!! :) I’m jonesing for a thrift trip – I had to take a break because I amassed an insane amount of doilies in the past little bit…lol.

I’m so so envious of your thrift stores over there, our charity shops in the UK are nothing compared to these! Looks like a pretty sweet trip :) Sally x

I love the bath mat. A good day of thrifting is so very satisfying.
I also really love your bangs. I was thinking of growing mine out, only yours look so cute that I am thinking of keeping mine.

  15. sweet job. that’s really cool that you have such nice thrift stores like that near you.

  16. Looks like you had a great thrifting trip!
    XOXO

@Lydia clearly you haven’t been to the goodwill on Waterloo Road in Green/Akron. It’s retarded. I can’t go there cause I get stressed out by how big it is. At least at the Whipple salvy you can get through a whole rack of one certain item (button downs, pants, etc).
