Erin of Calivintage
Resolution #12:
Vamp up your accessorizing.
Guest Blog post by Erin
I asked Erin, of Calivintage, to share some of her favorite ways to accessorize. She is pretty much a champ at mixing it up with simple accessories that really change the mood of an outfit. I hope you all will be inspired by her wearable fashions!
From Erin: “I actually don’t think of myself as being very good at wearing accessories, but I pulled together several shots of me wearing them from the past couple of months. Usually my accessories are silly little things I’ve picked up at thrift shops, like brooches and silk scarves that I tie as headbands to compliment colors of my outfit or to add a bit of interest.”
“My current favorite piece is the green fern headband that my mom made for me using glittery millinery leaves and a vintage ribbon. I added it to a basic earthy green outfit to elevate the whole look and was quite pleased with the result. It’s amazing what a simple little piece can do to really transform a look.”

I desperately need to start accesorizing more. This post was lovely!
I love all Erin’s accessories. This is certainly one area of my wardrobe that needs improvement. Those broaches are awesome and I love that fur collar.
Love this. I am a big accessory fan (well hair accessories anyway). beautiful.
That fern headband is amazing! <3 Love.
Oh these looks are great and are of course inspiring me to use accessories more! I used to a lot but lately my style has become a little too simple for my liking to time to bring them back!
