Outfit to Scrapbook: Preppy Meets Funky

2010_11_09

Translated from the outfit to the page is the idea of the open jacket surrounding a lacy patterned center, with little bits of pink and blue pattern poking out here and there. To add extra lacy texture that you just can’t get with printed paper, I stitched two strips of white lace at the top and bottom of the page. Black accents from the outfit, like the tights, hat, and shoes, appear in the matting of the photos and the foam letters I used. And, of course, as smitten with buttons as I am, I added some buttons like the ones on her coat, which really tie the photos in with the page.
