Outfit to Scrapbook: Classic Parisian
I would like to welcome you to a new feature on the blog, combining my love for fashion, paper, and photography. Taking elements from outfits I like, I’ll make pages inspire by them. For the first round, the outfit I have chosen to use as my muse was featured on the Stokholm Streetstyle blog.
I selected some supplies, matching the colors from the outfit, and adding elements such as circles (representing the buttons on her coat), houndstooth pattern (also from her coat), and a classic typeface for the letter stickers.
The layout I created is pretty simple, just like the outfit is. I didn’t end up using the blue fabric, and I chose to leave the photos in black and white, because I thought it was a more classic look. The goal was to achieve a fresh, kinda fun, and a little bit vintage Parisian vibe.
Cardstock: Core’dinations with Jenni Bowlin
Patterned Paper: Hambly studios
Letter Stickers: American Crafts
Buttons: from my stash

This is a really smart and cute feature Mandi, and it suits you perfectly! Can’t wait to see more :)

I love this! One of my favorite things to do is look at fashion for scrapbooks inspiration! (especially Japanese street wear)
I think the words “button stash” just stole my heart.

LOVELY! <3
Fantastic new feature! I always love finding inspiration in all kinds of different ways.
super super cool
oh my gosh…. I absolutely ADORE this idea! And I’ve already used this kind of inspiration in the past for some pages. So I love that you’re going to do this as a regular feature. Are you inviting us to play along with you, or is this just something you’ll be doing for yourself from time to time? I think it makes an awesome challenge, and if I ever get enough time on my hands might just have a go!!
i love this idea and that jenni bowlin/coordinations dot cardstock is great!!
I loooove it!
I’m about to start scrap booking as part of my senior year. I was wondering how you get your photos printed so small? I’m wanting to do that I’m just not sure as to how…
Hey Whitney, here’s a post I did a while back that should be helpful in printing smaller photos!
