American Sweater Girl
I’ve finally made a big dent in my make-do-and-mend pile that had been reaching ginormous proportions as of late. This sweater had been in the pile for about a month, smelling of must and full of little moth holes. And as for the skirt, it was needing shortened for quite some time. Really, all it took was a needle and thread for the sweater and scissors and fray check for the pleated skirt.
I rewarded myself for my frugality with a couple of pretty things for my Fall wardrobe. One new pair of over-the-knee socks and a pretty bow hair clip. Apparently over-the-knee socks are in style now… but I’ve been loving them since sixth grade. I’m happy they’re so accessible now!

Love the bow clip and the socks! So cute. I need to mend a few sweaters of mine too – those pesky moths!
I’m so jealous that it actually looks like fall where you are. It’s still bright green and sticky hot here. *sigh* i guess my own sweater and knee-high look will have to wait!
That sweater is too cute! Love the little bow, too! :)
