Aged Burgundy (vintage 1980 something…)
Lately I've been lamenting about the lack of back-to-school shopping in my life. When I was a kid in middle school, my mom would tell me how much money I could spend on new clothes every late August, and armed with a calculator, I would pour over the JCPenny catalogue trying to make every dollar count. Ah, those were the days. Well, actually, those might as well be these days. Except I'm trading JCPenny for the Salvation Army. But that doesn't mean my Urban Outfitters wishlist isn't growing like the dickens…
Some of my favorite thrift store finds are full skirts. Usually I hem them to a little above the knee before wearing them, but then it dawned on me. I kinda like the longer length, yeah?!

I miss the back to school shopping too! I even asked my husband if we could play pretend and go get ourselves some new outfits and some school supplies-who doesn’t need a new box of pencils?
that is such a beautiful full skirt. . love the look, it’s very romantic :)
those colors look gorgeous on you. :D You are getting me excited about fall!
love that skirt–next time you see one for me, grab it. That Salvation Army rocks-that’s the one we went to, right?
You look smashing darlink.
I miss back to school shopping too and I *miss* Village Discount! Such a cute skirt on you!

Oh, the JCP catalog! Arizona Jean Co. all the way. Preferably in colors like magenta or brown.
It looks beautiful!! This outfit is just sensational!
I love it! I especially love the sunglasses.
That blouse is beautiful. And yes, parent-funded shopping is the best kind. Just be glad it’s cool enough to wear long skirts in OH. It will be several more months before we can break out such prettiness in the Lonestar State.
i have a skirt EXACTLY like this except in minty green. i changed the buttons and was about to shorten it, when i was like… hold up!
so glad we are on the same wave(skirt)length. ha.
so funny. i know.
I love these photos so much! I wish I had money for back to school shopping on clothes.
