Greatest Cover Ever
Just like any music fan, I have my life long favorite band (Simon and Garfunkel- oh YES!) and the ever changing current favorite. And when the two of them combine, let's say, for the sake of a simple cover song (especially one involving tree playing…), it is just love, love, LOVE! As I'm preparing for our garage sale today, I'm going to be listening to a lot of these boys, my current favorite, Local Natives. I just wish I had their Cecilia cover on my playlist.
P.S. I know I "forgot" wardrobe wednesday yesterday… I'm hoping I can do it today instead, in between manning the garage sale and painting our apartment! :D

I love Simon and Garfunkle, I grew up on them and they are one of my all time favourites. I even named my rabbit garfunkle.
And Local Natives are one of my newer loves too, what a great combination. thanks for sharing. xo
What a great version of Cecilia! As a kid, my mom used to listen to Simon and Garfunkel every morning, while making us breakfast…and I can’t tell you how many times I heard that song…but I still love it. They never get old….or at least their music doesnt!
This is a great version! I’ve never heard of Local Natives but I will definitely check them out now! Thanks for posting! :)
LOVE the local natives! Saw them when they came to Nashville with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros…another band you should check out!
he’s playing the tree!
this made me smile so wide…on a day when i really needed to smile.
thank you for sharing.

I love this cover! It was the first I had heard of Local Native months ago, and fell in love instantly.
this is a fantastic cover! i too have adored Simon & Garfunkel since the 5th grade. i’m totally sharing this with everyone i know.
thanks!
Oh simon and garfunkel – they’ve been my fave since ever, and this is a fantastic rendition of Cecelia! Love it.
indeed, that was great! love to listen songs in acoustic because it’s very relaxing. :D
Laura- I love Edward Sharpe and the Magenetic Zeros. A friend introduced me a couple of months ago (they were just here in Northeast Ohio) and now I am just waiting for “Home” to make it to a commercial. I hope it doesn’t happen too soon- because I’m enjoying them and their obscurity right now! haha
Oh my goodness I just watched it three times in a row and I never do that kind of thing…as another major Simon & Garfunkle fan I am just in love with these guys and would totally need that recording too.
. . it doesn’t sound very different though. I have a REALLY REALLY hard time with cover songs though. . .so ignore me.
this is so great! i can’t stop watching this video.
