Wardrobe Wednesday- 60s knits
This little jem of a sweater set was found smashed between horrible polyester shift dresses at the thrift store. I think I actually may have squealed with delight when I put it in the cart. And that was before I knew it would fit me!
I thought for sure it was destined for the shop, but on a whim, I threw it on and was surprised to see that it was another one of those made for me vintage numbers.
And the hat. Ah, the hat. I’ve gotten to know the shop ladies at the Cuyahoga Falls River Square district, and one of the vintage shop owners gave me a special deal on this one. I couldn’t believe it! I’ve come to discover that people who peddle vintage goods get excited when I’m excited about them. And amidst all of the excitement, my arms become loaded with dresses, hats, and gloves- yet I still walk out the door with more cash than I expected. I like to think of it as one vintage soul looking out for another.
Outfit details:
sweater set: thrifted (Canton, Ohio)
hat: vintage (Secret Past, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio)
gloves: Kohls department store
tights: Hue
shoes: etsy vintage

Beautiful photoshoot! Love the location and the blue against this backdrop.
Oh the hat is just marvelous!
I agree…the blue against the snowy backdrop is perfect!!
Do you use a tripod? Or does someone else take your pictures for your Wardrobe Wednesdays?
Thanks for sharing,
krista
Hi Krista! I used a tripod for this shoot, but sometimes my husband Phil takes them for me. Usually I dont get to see him until its dark outside, these days. So Ive been taking them myself. :)
i love wardrobe wednesday! you look so great in that color of blue. and i do love the hat.
Wow these photos are beautiful. The snow, the dress… And that lipstick color goes so well with the color of the fur!
where do you thrift in Canton? (I am only an hour from there). You always find the best stuff!!
love, love, love…that’s all…
In love with your blog, you’re gorgeous and so is that outfit!
lovely — it’s perfect and it fits you like a glove.
Lovely!
Blue is definitively your color :)
The way you put your outfits together make things look great. I think a lot of people don’t accessorize or figure out how to wear clothes so they automatically probably though “ugly sweater dress” without doing what you do with your clothes to make it look wonderful!!
gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! That color is amazing and I LOVE the hat and gloves.
i love this so much!
Head-to-toe perfection! Love the accessories especially and the white shoes and tights really make it even prettier. :)
Love it all–but especially that lipstick color! Sassy stark contrast with the white snow behind you.
I would have squealed with delight if I came across such a beautiful sweater set too! Love it!
beautiful shoes, I am really in love with them, and I love this outfit you have put together, I would never have thought about it but you really pull it off!
