A big sigh of relief
I finally finished all of my Christmas shopping… okay, well almost. Just one more thing to buy! Today I wrapped everything up and the gifts are sitting pretty under the tree.
Last week I hemmed a skirt which had been sitting around for a while, and was able to use the scraps as an extra detail for the wrapping. I think the grey and red wool fabric is awfully festive, and the plaid adds a bit of a warm lodge feel to our Christmas tree corner.
So what about you? Are you all ready for the holidays?

Gifts look great and so do the cookies! I’m just about ready. I have one more stocking stuffer up my sleeve and a few cookie baskets to put together and then I’m done, done, done!
They look great! Love the plaid fabric idea.
love love love your wrapping!
good way of using left over fabric…recycling it in a very creative manner..love it
i was ready, but now i’m considering UNwrapping all my gifts and REwrapping them just like yours. fabuloussss.
I agree with the plaid giving a cozy look. MAde some super simple tags for my gifts using plaid paper. Posted on my blog :)
hooray for kraft wrapping! i have a huge roll i’ve been using for ever. am about to go and cut into my vintage ribbon stash… and after seeing this – i think my material scraps too!
I love the little tags on the gifts. something so simple as that is marvelous!
i like the fabric you used to accent your gifts — how clever!
What a fun idea! It looks great!
I love the gift wrapping… this may be a silly question but where do you buy the kind of tags you used? I see tags at craft stores, but they never have the nice brown fabric-looking detail around the center hole.
Jennifer,
To be honest, I got the tags in a package exchange, but as far as I know, you can find them at office supply stores like Office Max. Let me know if you find them, though, because I’d love to get some more!
Loving the upcycled plain, looks gorgeous!
