Inspiration
If you've been scrapbooking for long, you've experienced the frustration that occurs when you realize all of your pages are starting to look alike! I feel this frustration a lot, and when I do, I turn to other designers for inspiration.
I try not to take much inspiration from other scrapbookers, because it's too easy to start to copy someone. When I need an idea for a layout, or a new technique, I often turn to graphic design.
My favorite source of inspiration is David Carson. If you're stuck in a design rut, I highly recommend that you purchase one of his books and bury yourself in it for hours! Here are some photographs I took of one of his books which sits on our bookshelf in the living room.

The End of Print is one of my design bibles. When I get design block, I always open it up. There’s just so much eye candy in there.
oh wow.
i’m buying that book.
fantastic inspiration! thank you for sharing. Have you heard of Fruits? I love Fruits and Street magazine for cool color/design stuff.
It’s beautiful! I was atthe bookstore the other day, looking at design books, and found one that was amazing, it’s called “just for you” and it is a collection of things designers/artists made for themselves and their loved ones – very special. Youcan see some of it here:

how right you are, about it being so easy to find yourself copying someone, or someone else’s style, for that matter. it’s just so tempting sometimes, especially when you see something that really impressed you. i’m actually guilty of lifting one of your pages. i hope you won’t mind awfully much. it’s just that, i find your work very inspiring. but i totally get what you’re saying here, and i agree. we should all try to find our own style. but some people, including me, can’t seem to settle with just one. i’d see something and i’d want to try it, too.i think i lack imagination. sorry for this too-long comment. and lastly, i really think you rock. :)
