Thursday’s are for thrifting.
It's not a rule that I've set for myself, just a rule of nature, I suppose. It seems I've been getting Thursdays off work a lot recently, and so I take advantage of the days by thrifting! Yesterday I snagged up some lovely pieces of vintage jewelry.
I normally don't purchase jewelry from Goodwill, because they always seem so overpriced. Why buy a ring for eight dollars when I can buy 4 tops at the Salvation Army for that price? But these pieces stole my heart. …And twenty-one of my dollars.
I also picked up a cute yellow bowl. I dumped Phil's change collection into it, and still had coins leftover. Really? I think it's about time he rolls those and takes me out to dinner, don't you?
Oh, and by the way, I'm almost finished redecorating my bedroom. I'm still deciding whether or not I want to replace the dim Urban Outfitters chandelier that pathetically serves as our main source of light in the evenings. Oh yes, and curtains. I need to motivated myself to make some curtains. Oh, and did I tell you? I have new furniture in my bedroom! Well… not new, the dresser's are most likely 50 years old. But they're new to us! More to come, to be sure.
This is too funny, but JUST LAST WEEK I went thrifting for a few sweet hours and after I left Goodwill I thought to myself, “Is it wrong of me to think the Goodwill is overpriced?”!!!! I COMPLETELY agree! I know it goes to a good cause and all but SERIOUSLY! As I pulled in I noticed a Jaguar and BMW in the parking lot…should’ve told me something…this is were the rich thrift! Ha!
I LOVE thrifting. I just bought me some great chairs and a super cute vintage pillow today!

thrifting is just pure fun. i can hardly ever buy frames at a regular store anymore…must find at my local thrift shop…and grid pads…those are a treat to find too…
that little painted landscape reminded me of some of my grandmother’s paintings…sweet.

Thifting is the best! AND OMG! I have that paint by number painting! Or at least it’s very simular…my grandfather painted it back in the day! I’ll have to post about it soon!
