Loving free time!
Danielle asked me quite a while ago (I think it was over Christmas break!) if I would guest design for Kitschy Digitals. Of course, I jumped at the chance to say yes, even if I wasn’t able to create anything right away. Darned school and all. :) Well, I finally had the time and created a layout using her digital feathers kit.
The nice thing about working with a digital kit (even though I was going to print it out and go “hybrid”) is that you can move things around on your computer screen before committing to print. You better believe that’s what I did, because I was so scared of messing up. You see, I don’t really work with digital or “hybrid” in my scrapbooking. But I think that’s about to change! I created my own background paper, and after seeing it on my computer with the colorful feathers, I decided it would be best to leave it in a neutral grey. Then I printed the feathers onto vellum (just standard white vellum from the scrapbook store), stitched them onto the page, spray painted over some Basic Grey chipboard letters, stitched some more…. and then I decided to add some Hambly rub ons. Why not? :)
The last parts were creating the butterfly out of a scrap of magazine paper and then sticking the trimmed photos of me onto the layout using thick foam tape. Voila! My first digital hybrid scrapbook page! I think I’m in love.

that’s an absolutely gorgeous layout!
oh. i love that so. i want free time… well, i have lots of it… i just don’t utilize it. it’s absolutely gorgeous outside right now and i’m stuck here attempting to write a research paper on a hemingway short story… blech.
Oh I won:) hehe.
Yipppeeeeee.
