Thanks to Phil’s hottness, my photos turned out! :)

Well, let’s face it.
My city is very safe, well kept, and kinda boring.
My neighboring city definately is NOT. :)
I went to highschool there, and decided
it would make a better photoshoot.
So I drove around yesterday, scouting out some shots.
And I must say, downtown surprised me!
There’s some urban renewal going on…
And yes, there’s still some scary parts,
where I ended up, of course,
thanks to all the one way signs
that make it so difficult to navigate.
I hadn’t been downtown really since high school.
A lot has changed.
But one thing remains.
Construction. Always construction.
I drove through town to get there…
but I decided to take the highway out.
Bad idea. It was closed down to one lane.
That was news.
Okay, so I get off the highway and make it about a mile
and then I’m stopped for a few minutes as a freight train passes.
It was entertaining, though, to see all the graffiti on the cars.
There are some pretty talented graffiti artists in Ohio I guess. :)
Anyway, Phil and I went together today
and took shots with the tripod
until my batteries died.
Yes, I have rechargeable batteries.
My camera is old, and I got it off ebay for a steal!
I need a new one.
But anyway…
Here’s what I ended up with!

These were first few shots of the day.
I’ve decided that I like shooting “on location”
cause you get to go out and meet people.
Everyone has different reactions.
Like, why would you want to take your picture here?
It just goes to show that people walk by this place every day
thinking… What a dump. What a shame.
And I’m like… what a great backdrop!

You see a mirror. You take a picture. Period. :)

These next pics were taken behind the old Sears building.
The truck guys (in charge of shipments, I guess)
were standing there getting a kick out of me
running back and forth from the camera to the shot!
But they definitely made Phil really self conscious! :)
I tried a few different effects in photoshop with this pair:

Blue_wall5

Blue_wall_a

I still can’t decided which I like. The more aqua color?
Or the vivacious blue?
I must decide before I print.

Tile_wall

I didn’t realize how much blue was involved
until I got home and uploaded them.
Well I like em.
Now I’m probably gonna be taking the tripod with me everywhere!
awww poor Phil. :)

omg 2 posts in one day? wow. I gotta get offa here.
Peaceout

sooo, I’m thinking the blues are my favorite part about these. I’m so used to seeing a lot of reds so this is a pleasant change. They’re really gorgeous – I have GOT to do this with Neil. I’m such a bum.

So cute! Love the backdrops, old towns have some great places to do shotoshoots…and lucky you that Phil is so willing, I couldn’t get my husband out in public to take pictures, especially with people watching! Great job :)
