We need a street name for rubber cement.

Well, I got some more stuff done with “paper and glue.”
Yes, that is all it is people.
Paper and glue. AND a sewing machine.
And I love it so much.
It makes me happy to create and to share with others.

Here’s what I did yesterday:

Meet_my_cousin

Let_loose

I’m still on a scrapping “high” from SISiversary.
Even with all smack goin on yesterday
from bitter people who like to stir up drama.
I had no idea this kind of drama actually happened.
Like people actually sit around and bash each other.
Bu there’s also a lot of full hearted
caring and giving people who I am SOOO glad
I’ve been able to meet through this hobby of mine.

Tina. Top of my list. Love her. Super sweet, real, fun, caring, and freaking talented.

Michelle. Hilariously fun, loving, supportive, full of life, and creative.

Amber. Sweet, real, deep, beautiful, caring, and compassionate. Oh, and creative! :)

Vanessa. Keepin it real. Fun loving, silly, sweet, beautiful, and a hella good time.

Ohhhh yess there are more people.
More girls who I think are freaking awesome
in this online community where apparently
“faux love and sunshine” reign supreme.
Whatever. I’m just here keepin in real,
sharing the stuff I love with the peeps I love.
There’s enough shit in real life
why should I spend time online
hashing it out over and over again?
Making people pissy and bringin out the claws.
Seriously. There’s better ways to spend my energy.
But yes… it’s like a wreck, hard to look away.
Okay…. I’m lookin away now.

And yaaaaalllll (yes, I said yall)….
I’m waiting for some pics of US from last weekend!
It seems like every time I come up on a corner, I slam my breaks and squeal my tires
trying to make the turn in time. There’s just so many garage sale signs that sneak up on me… I can’t help it!

I used to go garage saling for fun with my grandma. I actually had never gone without her until this year. She passed away last summer from cancer, and at first I was worried that it might be too emotional. I know, that sounds really pathetic- but we were really close. And garage saling was like our thing. But now I’m just going cause I’m looking for a new dresser. And I keep hoping someone’s getting rid of a vintage one, like… oh, I dunno… circa 1950? Like this one that was found on a curb! I know I’m not that lucky. But I can’t help it. I haven’t found anything worth buying… but I have found that I really don’t like garage-saling. In fact, I’m border line on despising it.

Why waste all that time and gas and still not find anything? It’s so not even worth it. I used to love visiting garage sales, but I guess what I really loved was spending time with grandma.

After attempting for a fun afternoon of hittin the sales with the kids, I decided that I needed to document the memories I have of going with grandma. I didn’t want this to be a usual scrap page. And here’s what I came up with:.

“Faux love and sunshine” makes me happy! :) You’ve perfectly summed up my thoughts from the last couple of days. Love your layouts (did the first one use the tool some people were showing me from the SIS class? Such a nifty effect!)

  13. dani says:

    ehhhh… drama. who needs it?
the majority of the time, I just stick to, if I don’t have something nice to say, I don’t need to say (the MAJORITY of the time, heh, there are SOME times….). Because not only does the world have enough negative energy, but putting it out there is bad for me as well!
    rockin’ layouts OF COURSE.

  14. Vanessa says:

oh ill show you a good time ;) thanks for the shout out love. and you are totally right about drama, i dont need it online i have enough in real life.
    hugs from 6ish hours away!

  15. I feel ya, Mandi. I was oblivious to all the drama before this week too. And apparently I was the object of some of their attention today. Who knows why, though? My life is BOOOOORRRRRR-INNNGG. I just blanched some squash for F’s sake.
You take the good, you take the bad….you take them both and there you have….

  16. Drama sucks! It’s a waste of energy if you ask me….so I don’t do the drama thing.
    Anyway….love the stuff you made!!!

  17. sooooo glad i got to hang out with you, you cool young thing!
    xoxo
