August Round-Ups: Babble & Pinterest

August was my first month as a style contributor for Disney’s Babble! I’m enjoying the inspiration that writing for Babble has brought back to my blogging home, giving me some extra motivation to get back to regular posts here at Making Nice in the Midwest. Check out my August posts for Babble below!

I always head to my Pinterest Board for meal ideas before making out my grocery list each week. These are three new recipes I tried and loved in August. Just a tip- if you make the spicy roasted chickpeas, they are best eaten just out of the oven. Yummy and crunchy- my new favorite snack!

It’s not to late to whip up something special for Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re hanging out by yourself, with friends, or with a lover, any of these ideas would be an easy last-minute craft to make Thursday extra special. I personally love the idea of the heart-shaped cinnamon buns! This would be easy to do with store-bought dough, or if you’re ambitious- homemade dough! PINTEREST FAVORITES | For the Kiddos

The internet’s really great at match making. And I’m not talking about dating. I’m talking about hooking up curious people like me with fun and creative ideas and products like these. I love stumbling upon fresh inspiration every time I log onto Pinterest, and I especially enjoy filling my For the Kiddos board with lots of ideas for little Lucy, and any future babes that join our family in the years to come!
