Want to be Mary Poppins for Halloween?

Mary Poppins

While cleaning out my closet, I found this outfit and wondered what in the world I was keeping it for. It's not exactly something I can throw on to head out to the Post Office, grocery store, of coffee shop. So, I though perhaps I should see if any of you want to be Mary Poppins for Halloween! The outfit is around a 9/10 or size Large and includes: 1 black skirt, 1 white lace blouse, 1 red bow, 1 grey jacket, 1 Mary Poppins hat.

(Shoes and belt are not included.)

**Update** The costume sold! Thanks a bunch!

Hands up if you’ve got a red sweater and a red skirt in your wardrobe! Perfect! Now grab some standard trim pieces, a black pair of may janes, fluff out your hair, and get ready to terrorize the world with your tantrums! I’ve always thought the best Halloween costumes are the ones that have really fun characters to match. When I was Mary Poppins, I had a lot of fun singing about spoonfuls of sugar and feeding the birds all night long. I’m sure a healthy dosing of wanting everything “now, Daddy!” would be alright for just one night, eh?

Pssst…. I wouldn’t mind wearing these items separately any given day. Costumes are the perfect excuses to pad your wardrobe a little bit. Am I right? ;)

Just a Spoonful

Remember when…. I was Mary Poppins for Halloween last year? Yeah…I’m still thinking of the costume that will top Ms. Poppins in 2010. I haven’t come up with anything yet…

For this page, I used three new Hambly screen printed scrapbook papers, an itty bitty snipped of this rub on sheet, and letters from American Crafts, Making Memories, and K&Co. I also (of course) used some machine sewing and typewriter journaling which I cut into strips for the left side and center.

Sometimes when I blog about scrapbooking, I’m not sure what to say. What you see is what you get, I supppose. Is there anything I should include when I share my pages? Products? Techniques? Close ups…?
