The Gypsy in Me

September-2e

When people ask me what I do… I always want to tell them I am a vagabond. I really try to do what I please when I please. Except for when I’m doing the dishes, and running up and down three flights of stairs to clean the laundry, of course. Besides that aspect of my life, I like to think I am a bit of a nomad at heart.

This skirt (with the aid of my scarf) definitely made me feel like a gypsy. It’s another longer length number that I was planning on hemming as soon as I brought it home from the thrift store. I decided, though, that I should probably test it out first to see how I really feel. I think I’ve decided to hem it, because I have another blue skirt in my possession of a similar length. Ah, I don’t know. I’m torn!

You do seem like a gypsy in that outfit. I think it could be a little shorter like right below the knee.

  2. this skirt is really nice. I again love how you put everything together.

  3. he he. My hubby’s Bulgarian and a little bit of a nomad, so we always joke about his gypsy-ness. Too cute! Love the skirt to bits – I’ve been looking for a vintage pattern to make a similar one (many many times! he he). I love the length – so pretty. :)
